Vaillancourt Victorious at Raceway Park Englishtown, NJ - Saturday, October 16th. Levittown's Matt Vaillancourt scored his second series win of the season in the Modified Outlaw Micro Stock series at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ. Taking the lead at the start of the event, Vaillancourt, who is sponsored by K&K Industries, Smith Auto Service, and Pardighamrockshirts.com, dominated the race in the John Kazmierski-owned mount. The Pennsylvania driver led the event from green to checkers to claim the trophy in round seven of the Modified Outlaw Micro Stock series. Scott Ferris had another fine outing, moving up to finish second to Vaillancourt, and back into contention for the championship with just one race remaining in the series. Arnold Smith filled in for Jim Van Dine in the #29 for an impressive 3rd place finish, followed by K&K team owner John Kazmierski. Ricky Taylor rounded out the top 5 in another K&K team entry.
Wall Modified Micro Stock 2004 Season Finale
Wall Twp., NJ - Friday, October 8th Ewing Townships Tom Ervin finished off the Wall Township Speedway Friday Night Modified Micro Stock series with his 8th victory of the season at Wall Township Speedway. At the start of the event outside pole sitter John Kazmierski powered into the lead only to spin, handing the lead back to Ervin. Ricky Taylor moved up to second position and John Poulsen made a grab at the third podium position, but a series of cautions allowed Kazmierski to move back into contention. After powering past Poulsen for third, Kazmierski engaged Taylor in a fierce battle for second. The two K&K teammates swapped the position many times before Kazmierski claimed the position. Kazmierski then set his sights on first, but Ervin was not to be denied as he claimed the win in the John Kazmierski-owned #99 K&K Express.
Unofficially the win gave Ervin his 16th Championship in the K&K #99. Ervin and the other members of the K&K Race Team are sponsored by K&K Industries of Ewing, NJ - a fabricator of winning Micro Stock and Go Kart engines and chassis. The K&K Race Team of Kazmierski, Ervin, Taylor, and Matt Vaillancourt will be back in action this Saturday night, October 16th at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ for round seven of the Modified Outlaw Micro Stock series. All Modified Micro Stocks are invited to compete, and there is no cost to join M.O.M.

K&K Team Tops Exhibition Field
Wall, NJ - Saturday night September 25th Micro Stock Racers from New
Jersey and Pennsylvania gathered to present a 15 lap exhibition race at
Wall Township Speedway. The starting field included 9 Sportsman cars, 7
Modified cars, and 3 Controlled Stock cars.
John Poulsen and Matt Vaillancourt brought the mixed field to the green
flag for the start of the event. Racing action began immediately with 4
wide racing action. George Bark moved from his 3rd starting position to
give chase to early leader Vaillancourt. Tom Ervin climbed from 6th
starting position to shadow Bark in 3rd. As the leaders began to
encounter lapped traffic, Bark and Ervin found room inside Vaillancourt to
pass Vaillancourt. A close and lengthy battle ensued with Ervin passing
Bark shortly before the halfway point. Contact between Vaillancourt and
Bark resulted in both drivers restarting from the rear, and moving John
Kazmierski and John Poulsen into the top 3. Vaillancourt and Bark made a
remarkable charge back to the front in the remaining time, and at the
checkered flag it was the K&K Race Team of Ervin, Vaillancourt, and
Kazmierski, followed by Bark, and Poulsen in the top 5 positions. Ricky
Taylor also drove a 4th K&K team entry to a 6th place finish. The top
finishing Sportsman car in the event was driven to victory by Nick Cottone.
Immediately following the event many drivers brought their cars behind the
grand stands and met with a large crowd of race fans for much of the
remaining program.

FERRIS FINDS FIRST
Englishtown, NJ - Saturday night at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in
Englishtown NJ, Long Valley's Scott Ferris put the Carl Scheier owned
Total Clean #12 in victory lane for round six of the Modified Outlaw Micro
Stock series. Ferris dominated the night, charging to the front of his
heat race by the third lap and going on to lead every lap of the feature
event. Series point leader Tom Ervin moved past his K&K team-mate Matt
Vaillancourt to claim second at the start of the event, and by the 3rd lap
had opened a gap over Vallincourt's #16. Ferris's team-mate Jim Van Dine
moved into the top five by the end of lap two, taking the position from
Ricky Taylor. By lap five K&K team owner John Kazmierski had caught and
passed Vaillancourt, but Vaillancourt retook the position on the next
go-round. The two team mates engaged in a fierce battle for third that
lasted to the mid way point of the race when Vaillancourt pulled out a
decisive lead over Kazmierski. Van Dine soon entered the fray to apply
pressure to Kazmierski for the remainder of the event, and on the final
lap took advantage of motor troubles on Kazmierski's #90 to claim the
spot. At the finish it was Ferris by a full straightaway over Ervin,
Vaillancourt, Van Dine, and Kazmierski.
The Modified Micro Stocks will return to Raceway Park on October 16th.
There is no fee to join M.O.M., and all Modified Micro Stocks are invited

ERVIN WINS WALL
Wall Twp., NJ - Ewing, NJ driver Tom Ervin rebounded from a poor heat race to win the Modified Micro Stock race at Wall Township Speedway on Friday, August 20th. Making several changes to the John Kazmierski-owned K&K Express #99 for the feature event, Ervin came from the second row making a 3 wide pass to take the lead from heat race winner Ricky Taylor. Taylor and John Kazmierski battled for several laps for the second position before Kazmierski finally claimed it. Taylor faded back into the clutches of John Poulsen early in the event, but managed to dial in some more speed into his #93 to hang on to third. Poulsen, who had dropped out of his heat race with mechanical troubles, brought his #3 home in 4th.
The K&K Race Team of John Kazmierski, Tom Ervin, Ricky Taylor, and Matt Vaillancourt will be at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ this Saturday, August 28th competing in the 6th round of the Modified Outlaw Micro Stock series. KAZMIERSKI WINS WALL
Wall Township, NJ - K&K Race Team owner John Kazmierski of Ewing, NJ had a
perfect evening Friday July 30th at Wall Township Speedway. Kazmierski
led every lap of his Modified Micro Stock heat race and went on to do the
same in the feature. At the start of the race, Kazmierski's K&K #90 had
company as team mates Tom Ervin and Ricky Taylor gave chase. Kazmierski
and Ervin bump drafted away from the field, and Ervin made some
unsuccessful bids at the lead before Kazmierski pulled out to a 5-car
length lead. A mid race caution closed up the field, but after the
restart it was business as usual for Kazmierski, who fended off another
challenge from Ervin and pulled out to a 3-car length win. Taylor's #90
faded in the later stages of the race, but held on for 3rd to give the
John Kazmierski owned K&K Race Team another One-Two-Three finish.
The K&K Race Team will be in action this Friday, August 6th as they
compete in round 5 of the Modified Outlaw Micro Stock race at Raceway Park
in Englishtown, NJ.
Ferris wins M.O.M. Event
7/16/04
Englishtown, NJ - In a dominating performance, Scott Ferris of Long
Valley, NJ scored his second Modified Outlaw Micro Stock race of the
season on Friday at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ. Driving the Carl
Scheier owned Total Clean #12 Modified, Ferris came from 3rd to win his
heat race and went on to lead every lap of the M.O.M. feature, lapping all
but the top 3 cars. At the start of the race Ferris pulled out to
commanding lead and never looked back. The race was interrupted by a lap
3 caution for the disabled #16 of Matt Vaillancourt. On the re-start Tom
Ervin tried to make a run at Ferris, but the #12 car was not to be denied
as Ferris drove away from the field. The #90 car normally driven by John
Kazmierski was piloted by Sportsman driver Brian Zawanski, who started at
the rear of the field. By the 9th lap Zawanski had moved up to the 4th
position, where he engaged in a spirited battle with Ricky Taylor's #3.
After a seesaw battle for the position, Zawanski finally claimed the spot
on the 18th lap, but was unable to run down Ervin or Ferris. At the
finish the top 5 were Ferris, Ervin, Zawanski, Taylor, and Jim VanDine in
the team car to Ferris.
The Modified Outlaw Micro Stocks will return to Raceway Park on August
6th. All Modified Micro Stocks are welcome to compete, and there is no
charge to join M.O.M. For more information, contact John Kazmierski at

Vaillancourt Victorious At Wall
7/9/04
Wall Twp., NJ - Friday night Matt Vaillancourt of Levittown, PA picked up
his first win of the season behind the wheel of the K&K Industries #16
Modified Micro Stock. While Vaillancourt had led several times last
season at Wall Township Speedway, this was his first ever feature event
win at the historic speedway. Starting 3rd in the feature, Vaillancourt
slipped under heat race winner Tom Ervin on the first lap to take the
lead. Vaillancourt held a 3-car lead for the first 2 laps, but Ervin soon
closed the gap. A race long battle between the two K&K teammates ensued,
with Ervin closing through the turns and Vaillancourt pulling away down
the straights. As the battling duo pulled away from the field Ervin
pulled along side Vaillancourt several times, but Vaillancourt was able to
fight off every challenge. In the last turn, Vaillancourt went low and
Ervin went high, with Vaillancourt's #16 beating Ervin to the line by half
a car length. K&K teammate Ricky Taylor turned in another fine run in the
#93 to take third, giving the K&K team their second one-two-three finish
in as many weeks.

Summer Newsletter
May 8th the K&K team returned to Englishtown with Matt in the #16, John
in the #90, and Tom in the #99, but the #93 sat at the trailer all night
as Jim Turner informed John that he would no longer be able to drive for
the K&K team. Heat race action saw John, Tom, and Matt take 2nd, 3rd, and
4th. In the feature Tom moved immediately into 2nd, where he finished.
Matt moved up to take 3rd, while John retired the #90 with a broken
camshaft.

test session. The #90 had the same motor with a new cam and ran well.
Matt had a new motor in the #16 to replace the one that blew during the
season opener. This motor was quick. Tom had an experimental motor
in
the #99, which tested with mixed results.
June 4th was the season opener at Wall Stadium. John was there in the
#90 and Tom in the #99, but Matt was unable to attend. Joining the team
for his first race ever was Ricky Taylor in the #93. Ricky is the son of
local dirt modified driver Rich Taylor, and will be taking over the
driving duties of the #93 this season. In the heat race Tom took 1st with
John and Ricky running 3rd and 4th. In the feature Tom and John fought
with another competitor for the win until Tom’s motor let go. John hung
on for 2nd and Ricky moved up to finish 3rd.
June 13th the K&K gang traveled to Mahoning Valley Speedway. John
checked out in the #90 for the win, while Tom in the #99 barely held off
Ricky in the #93 to finish 2nd and 3rd. Pierre Monvoi took the wheel of
the #16 for a 5th place finish.

Ricky ran 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in both the heat race and the feature.
Spring Newsletter
After a long
cold winter it’s great to be back on the track. During the winter, the K&K Team
appeared at a couple of
shows and Tom Ervin even ran an ice race. Team Owner John Kazmierski also
purchased a used K&K chassis, #93, which will be run this season as a 4th team
car. Driving the #93 will be Jim Turner, who comes to the K&K team from Dirt
Street Stocks. January 2nd the K&K gang accompanied Tom to the Sovereign Bank
Arena for an ICE race. Tom drove his wife Robin’s kart with home-made bodywork
and spiked tires, flying the traditional Orange and Yellow, and numbered 99.
Power was provided by a K&K Limited Modified Motor, which was last run in the
#99 Micro Stock to win on concrete in the New Haven Coliseum. With no practice,
Tom went onto the ice for the first time for the heat race and lapped all but
the second place kart. Not content, the boys added stagger for the feature,
making the kart VERY loose. Tom spun several times during the feature but
managed to come back for 3rd without the aid of a caution flag. January 31st the
K&K Team took the #90 and #99 Modified Micro Stocks to Milltown, NJ for the
annual Fillamon Brothers race car show. While the show went well, John

on one of the haulers. March 7th John and Tom hauled the #93 to Mahoning Valley
for a successful test session. March 12th-14th the K&K team hauled all 4 team
cars to the Ledgewood Mall, where they combined forces with John Paulsen Racing

and Matt spent the weekend meeting friends, fans, competitors, and spectators–
both new and old. The display featured 5 Modified Micro Stocks equipped with
helmet wearing dummies on a simulated racetrack. While the display didn't win
any awards, it was the talk of the show. March 21st the K&K team displayed the
#16, #90, and #99 Micro Stocks at the Glendola Firehouse. John, Matt, and Tom
met with interested parties from the Wall Township Speedway area about Modified
Micro Stock Racing. April 18th John and Tom hauled the #93 and #99 to Mahoning
Valley for a race. This was a break-in session for a spare motor in the #99, and
John came out of retirement to drive the #93. Tom won the heat race in the#99,
while John collected the gold with the #93 in the feature. April 24th the
